Humble Yourselves And Turn From Sin

2 Chronicles 7:14 New Living Translation (NLT)

14 Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land.

God asks his chosen to be in spirit with him and fervent in prayer only seeking him and repenting and turning away from sin and evil actions that he will hear anything we think or speak from heaven and he will forgive them of their ungodly walks and sin they have committed and he will replenish and heal the land. This verse speaks so many things with current situations going on now. It’s a straight forward command he is telling us and leading us to what we are doing wrong but that it can be changed if we turn away from rioting and looting and killing that you live in lifestyles of the ungodly. He is giving us a choice to repent and ask forgiveness and turn back to him and he’ll give back our lives and lands. You may have done wrong going against God before but you can be saved if you ask forgiveness. He hears our words and thoughts no matter where we are or what we’re doing. He is always ready to accept and love us we just have to allow him. The things going an in the world right now are not of him. They are acts of evil. They are making him angry. His wrath is called to happen before the second coming and this is all part of it, it’s all written in his word. However he is still trying to have that relationship with you and love you but you have to ask him and allow him to. He is not happy with things the way they are right now however you can still be saved. Riots, racism, looting and killing are not okay they are evil works of Satan. Our need is to spread love and acceptance to one another just as Christ did with us. It’s the way you’d want to be treated also. So turn away from the evil and ask God to forgive you and come into your life let go of the ungodly lifestyles holding you down. Pray fervently and study the word regularly and speak in conversation with God always. He is waiting for you and ready to have that relationship with you.

2 Chronicles 7:14-18 The Message (MSG)

God appeared to Solomon that very night and said, “I accept your prayer; yes, I have chosen this place as a temple for sacrifice, a house of worship. If I ever shut off the supply of rain from the skies or order the locusts to eat the crops or send a plague on my people, and my people, my God-defined people, respond by humbling themselves, praying, seeking my presence, and turning their backs on their wicked lives, I’ll be there ready for you: I’ll listen from heaven, forgive their sins, and restore their land to health. From now on I’m alert day and night to the prayers offered at this place. Believe me, I’ve chosen and sanctified this Temple that you have built: My Name is stamped on it forever; my eyes are on it and my heart in it always. As for you, if you live in my presence as your father David lived, pure in heart and action, living the life I’ve set out for you, attentively obedient to my guidance and judgments, then I’ll back your kingly rule over Israel—make it a sure thing on a sure foundation. The same covenant guarantee I gave to David your father I’m giving to you, namely, ‘You can count on always having a descendant on Israel’s throne.’
