The Honorable Heroes

Walking in worn boots you see him come

A man of honor you can not deny

His fatigues all dirty left of scars

From deployment to war

His sight tells the story of what he has been through

Dirty and warn on one knee in prayer

Though you may not know the whole stories you know he suffered on the frontline

Each having a different story of they’re own

We’ll never know just what they’ve been through

Holding they’re head up looking up high to the sky is the only place they have to rely

As he prays…

Lord, I ask for courage.

Courage to face and conquer my own fears….

Courage to take me where others will not go.

Courage to be strong

I ask for strength…

Strength of body to protect others..

Strength of spirit to lead others.

I ask for dedication…

Dedication to my job, to do it well…

Dedication to my country, to keep it safe.

Give me Lord, concern…

For those who trust me and compassion for those who need me.

And please Lord…..

Through it all be at my side.

Amen.

A soldier is a hero who wears his metal and honor well

He doesn’t give up when fear and distress set in

He’s a man of integrity and being

could be your son, a brother or nephew, husband, friend

Some soldiers are female it could be your mother, your aunt, your daughter a sister

whom ever they are they won’t be whom they left on that first day

A soldier of integrity and honor is who they are now

they’ve faced their fears

Endured their battles

Been at people’s front doors in time of need

Held up theirs accounts in time of disaster or terror

They are the frontline of our hope and future

they will be our beginning and our end

They’re legacy will carry on forever as each soldier will gain a history

Remember the men and women of our country, military, veterans and the heroes they are
