you put the fire on
watching it burn,
hearing it’s crackle sound

brings the kids to life
schools and businesses closed
danger zone ahead for roads

Kids asking mommy to take them out to play
it’s so cold you keep trying to push it all away

hot chocolate can stay
cozy up in a blanket,
put in a movie is the good snowy day life for me
O’ but the kids disappointed,
they can’t go out and play
ok okay wipe those tears away
